Behind The Lens

Location

I was a caregiver for a 91yo man in Coupeville, Whidbey Island, Washington state. I put this tree up w/hopes of brightening his Christmas.

Time

One night after a few packages arrived from his daughter I realized how much I really liked the look. I love this picture and have even created Christmas cards with it. It was dusk and only one light was on with the tree lights.

Lighting

After 4 years of using in contest and/or calendars and cards I finally made a print to hang in the house for Christmas each year.

Equipment

This photo was taken with my new Panasonic Lumix. No flash was used as I sat on the floor with the camera on a coffee table.

Inspiration

It reminded me the Magic of the Season ~

Editing

No, I was happy with the way it was.

In my camera bag

I still use the digital camera but have recently graduated to a larger one that I'm learning to use. I've not expanded much beyond that at present. I am an amateur but so enjoy talking pictures that i hang around the house or use to create cards and calendars.
