Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is taken in a resort at Batangas, Philippines during my internship days. It's one of those tiny flowers on the side of the road that doesn't really seem to be appreciated.

Time

We were looking for a nice view to shoot for the bride and groom's pre-nup photo. So we had to wake up early, and we were able to make it to the resort's fishery. I think it was early around 7AM or 8AM when I took this picture.

Lighting

It was my second time experimenting on my Canon IXUS. I learned some tricks about photography from my uncle and the internet so I tried to test if it was true. I looked for great sceneries and canvases to shot because I think It's easier to take beautiful photos with those elements. I just happened to be really interested to taking pictures of little things--the more little the better-- and so I ended up looking at the ground and found this 2 inches flower.

Equipment

This was shot by a Canon IXUS. I doesn't have enough knowledge that time so I took it base on how I see it. I don't take notes of other settings aside from the ISO, which is at 200 for this. No other equipments involved.

Inspiration

I want to show to the people the beauty that aren't often seen by the eyes. I just love the microscopic view the most, it's deep. :)

Editing

If I remember it right, yes I did some post-processing. Since I'm just using a digital camera, the resolution of the photo is not great when It's place on a bigger screen. So, I had to do some basic adjustments; sharpen, contrast and lighten it up a bit.

In my camera bag

I don't have much in my bag because I don't want to stand out in the streets, so just have my digital camera. Sometimes, I bring my selfie stick and waterproof cam when going out to the beaches. And of course, never to forget an extra battery and SD cards.

Feedback

There are lots of things in this world to see and to show. Be creative; imagine the effect you want to see, focus the lens on your subject and experiment.
