This photo was taken on a beautiful morning from my patio. The morning light was so unique and clear, creating all of those beautiful colors. I took multiple shots of this particular sunrise but this was my favorite because of the branches peeking up into the sun.
This was taken with my Samsung S5 phone with no special lenses or filters. No post-processing was done. With this shot, what you see is what you get.
Thank you all for your wonderful feedback and likes for this photo. New Etsy shop coming soon where you can buy, download, print or order any of my photos. Thanks VB!

Location
I took this photo from the 3rd floor balcony of my apartment complex. I wanted/needed some height so I could capture a wide shot of all the awesome colors the sun was giving me.Time
It was at sunrise, early one morning. I had just dropped the kids off at the school bus and was enjoying the view walking back to my unit. The air was light and crisp which is particularly unusual for Southeast Texas.Lighting
I love using natural lighting! The deep shadows and angles you get versus studio lighting is always better to me. Gives your photos a more personal touch. I tried to angle the tree branches where the sun shone behind them which created this lovely effect.Equipment
I actually just had my cellphone on me at the time. It was a Samsung Galaxy 5 and the camera on it is/was pretty amazing. I've since upgraded to the S7 and get even more amazing photos. No other equipment was used for this photo.Inspiration
My inspiration always comes from the world around me. The morning air, the way the world was waking up around me and these bursts of colors the universe gifted me with were inspiration enough.Editing
I did some basic cropping and white balance adjustments but otherwise no other post processing was used on this photo. In my camera bag
Normally I carry a Nikon D3300 with an 18-55mm lense, a 55-200mm lense, 4 different Polaroid "close up" magnifying lenses, a Vivitar wide angle converter lense and super wide angle converter lense, a white balancer, a Vivitar auto flash for extra light when needed, an extender and 4 batteries (hopefully fully charged!). Plus my tripod on certain occasions.Feedback
Take lots of photos!!! And take them all the time. Anytime you're inspired, grab a quick photo. I may take 10-15 photos of the same thing but at different angles and still only get one good shot that I'm happy with. Don't worry about getting too much in your shot too, always remember that's what post processing and cropping is for. Sometimes I'll find other things in my photos that weren't part of the original focus but turn out to be better. Like these tree branches. I wanted to capture how the sunrise made me feel because of the colors in the sky and it turned out even better because I tried it at different angles and found this one with the branches reaching up. It was like the earrh was opening her hand and revealing this beautiful sunrise for me.
