Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in Leeds UK and features reflections in a glass fronted shop building of an opposing structure. Care was taken to only include the reflection to produce a purely graphic image.

Time

This was taken in December shortly before sunset, hence the warm coloured reflection. The cloudless blue sky provided a good colour contrast the reflection.

Lighting

Natural available light.

Equipment

Not too sure of the camera, but the crop was achieved with a short telephoto focal length, the shop face itself being above street level.

Inspiration

Very often, there are good architectural features above street level in most older cities and this was one that particularly stood out.

Editing

This is just as it comes, my own preference being to get the picture I want at the time of taking.

In my camera bag

Just a wide zoom, a medium zoom and a short to long telephoto zoom. Sometimes a wide aperture single focal length and for certain shots a 400 mm APO.

Feedback

Photographs are first noticed with the eyes, so always be observant and pick the parts of the whole which most capture your attention.
