Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken at my Dad's house in the family room on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015.Time
It was around 6:30 - 7:00 pm Eastern time.Lighting
It was all natural light coming from two windows which you can see the reflections of on the coffee table.Equipment
This was a shot with a Nikon D5000 with a Nikon DX 18-55mm lens in Aperture mode at f/5.6. No tripod or flash were used.Inspiration
My niece was sleeping in the arms of her mother and since she looked so peaceful I could not resist taking a picture . My sister was sitting on the sofa so I positioned myself behind her and from over her shoulder did a real close up view of her face and took the picture. You can see that she is resting her head on my sister's right arm.Editing
I did not do any post-processing on the photo. All the pictures that I have uploaded on ViewBug have not been processed. They come straight from the SD card. They have not been processed in camera either. In my camera bag
I have the two lens that came with the kit when I purchased my Nikon D5000, the DX AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G and 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G. I later added the Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm 1:1.8D. I carry spare batteries, the charger, SD cards, 4 NEEWER close-up lens kit (bought for cheap on Amazon, UV, CPL, and FLD Filter Set (also bought cheap on Amazon, a flash diffuser, a cleaning cloth and a LENSPEN. The next lens I would like to get is the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens but that will be in a few years or sooner if I win the lottery (but I will need to start buying tickets...).Feedback
I am an amateur photographer and I think I have a good eye for taking pictures, as shown in this unprocessed picture (and all my unprocessed pictures uploaded in ViewBug) but I still have a lot of learning and experimenting to do to get better so my advice is get to know your camera and take lots of pictures and have fun doing it!
