This is wonderful ... what a story the photo tells ... I thought it had to be something like what you said ... It is almost self evident ... Cheers Trish

Being a 34 year firefighter myself I love seeing this. The respect they show is so awesome. And the engine bowing makes this an amazing capture.

I am retired fire service. I know the Japanese often bow. Were they bowing to the apparatus, or for some other reason? Made me laugh out loud.

Having been a 'Firey' myself years ago I worked with a similar vehicle. I never imagined anyone bowing to one, let alone it bowing back at me!

Great shot....it is as if there is mutual respect between man and machine. Exactly the kind of image I am drawn to.

The Fire Station just received a new Fire Engine, it is customary when crews transfer their gear to the new rig to bow as a sign of respect and good luck in their duties. I was passing during the crew outfitting when I noticed the fire engine cab was up for the checkout making it look as if it were bowing back.Editing
Just so minor changes in iPhoto. In my camera bag

Be prepared for those Happy Accidents. What was a common occurrence at the Fire Station suddenly became unusual. This is truly a Happy Accident as I was taking my camera out to get a shot of my Land Rover (just cleaned) when I snapped this one.
