Behind The Lens

Location

I have took this photo in Kolkata(India) on the way of Howrah Bridge. Basically I try to capture some street photography in Kolkata and then I find this amazing portrait.

Time

In the early morning, I leave for street photography.

Lighting

As I have told that I shoot this pic in early morning, and this man facing in the north-east, so very soft morning light appear on his face. And it creates a dramatic ambiance.

Equipment

I use a DSLR, a 70-300mm f/4-f5.6 lens...nothing more.

Inspiration

I am always fascinated to take portrait photo. So when I took this...I just inspired by the story behind this shot(I write in details in the pic) and composition.

Editing

After shoot this pic in RAW...I have post process it as I have took it a color photo. So I use Adobe Lightroom to post process it to B/W. And did some changes in white balance.

In my camera bag

I always took 18-55mm and 70-300mm lens....

Feedback

I can only say that...before shooting any picture everybody should be understand the light...as it is most important for any capture...and composition.
