We were driving by this huge horse ranch, on both sides of the street. The sun was elluminating such a great yellow cast over it and all the orchards near by.Equipment
Olympus Pen Mini E-PM-2, 40-150mm (came with the camera) 1:4-5.6 R and me as the tri-pod! (well, and a fence!)Inspiration
The horses are my obsession and I am always on the lookout for them. The lighting behind this HUGE oak tree caught me eye, and evidently my husband's (he was driving) as we zoomed by he asked... "you want to stop?" DUH!!! I took several shots, limited on where I could stand at the fence line, AND I had to shoot towards the sun! With every footfall, their hooves sparked the dust, so all I hoped for is something would turn out OK.Editing
The only thing I did was to adjust the "brightness" a little, everything else fell into, what I thought was a good shot to "save".In my camera bag
My camera and the other lens the camera came with 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 II R nothing fancy, miscellaneous chargers, SD cards, small tripod, cleaning kit...instruction booklet!! lolFeedback
I look at everything as the next "best" picture. Taking many shots of the same thing is the best thing one can do, because "one" out of many might be the ONE! I also count on good old fashion "luck" !!! Landscapes and flowers are my favorites and I wish I was better at taking pictures because I am obsessed with them! Capturing a moment in time, to savor forever is what memories are made of. Horses are my heart and soul, this picture captured it.
