This photo was taken in my living room with the flag resting on the arm of my couch.Time
This was mid- morning. I had opened a brand new flag to replace the worn out one on my flagpole.Lighting
I try to use natural light as much as I can and there was sunlight from the window but I felt it needed more so I used the onboard flash.Equipment
This was shot with my Canon 50D and a 28-135 lens.Inspiration
I love my country. I love the flag of the USA and all the freedom it stands for. It was so beautiful when I set it out on the back of my couch I felt compelled to capture it.Editing
This is pretty much the way it showed in the view finder. I do try to take photos that don't need a lot of post processing.In my camera bag

Don't be afraid to get close to the subject. If it looks good in your view finder take the shot. Try using natural lighting when you can.
