This composite was made up of two photos that were taken months apart. Both taken in natural daylight conditions. The ice background I took at a local pond in winter, and when I saw it up on my screen I thought it would look cool with a hand reaching out of it. A friend of mine posed his hand in the shallows in another local lake for me. He actually has half a finger missing on the other hand which he thought may look good in the composite as I explained my idea to him, but I liked the was the thumb was under water so decided to use this one. Maybe, one day I'll do something with the other photo.
