Behind The Lens

Location

On Kirkridge Road, Murray, Ky. I was in my FJ Cruiser and spotted him in a thicket to the left of the road. He jumped from the thicket and I was able to capture this shot in mid-air.

Time

7:30 AM

Lighting

There was 10 inches of Snow on the ground and ice on the road. The Sun was shining and glimmering highlights surrounded the setting.

Equipment

Nikon D7100; Nikkor 70-300 mm lens

Inspiration

I had saw this unusual Pieball Deer several times in this area and had decided to take my Camera out early that morning .

Feedback

The Lighting of any photograph is essential. I especially love the effects that snow gives to photos. Study your intended subject. I knew that deers come out early in the mornings. And expect the unexpected ! This Pieball leaped out of this thicket and I caught this shot of him in mid air????
