Location
This photo was taken recently in a small town in Tassmania called Risby Cove. A very pretty town surrounded by water. The 5am start was well worth it when mother nature puts a show like this on for me.Time
AT 0500 which gave me time to have a quick scout around the area i stopped to find what i wanted to take.Lighting
This little town has several area well worth a visit. Initially the light was on a very pale pink but as the sun rose over the land off to the left i could see the dark pink and magentas coming up. No street lights to spoil mother natures colors.Equipment
The Canon 6D was on a sturdy tripod. When i took this i did not own any filters for this lens which is a wide angle Canon 16-35 L series lens. I was blessed this day as mother nature id the rest.Inspiration
I love the colors at sunrise and sunset. This sunrise was a pale pink that led to a dark bright pink/magenta and slowly faded away to light wispy pinks again. This was a nice contrast against the still dark blue night/early morning sky.Editing
Im not great at editing so very little. I use light room so just added a bit of megenta and red to make to color stand out. A slight up in the clarity and sharpness. Thats it. Oh possibly a small crop.In my camera bag
The camera bag is always ready to go. These days it consists of a Canon 6D, with a few L series lenses: 24-70 F2.8, 16-35, 2.8, 70-200, f4-5.6 and a niffty fiffty. polarizers and filters for the 16-35. Lee big stopper. and a few graduated filters. 3 batteries spare sd cards, and the trusty tripod.Feedback
With water and sunset/sunrise be paitient mather nature doesnt have a time line, some days she delivers and some days she doesn't. Just enjoy what your doing. Dont hesitate to go back to the same place for all the seasons too.
