Location
It was a feature in a Namibian place called Hammerstein Lodger, they had a feature called the "Cat Walk" which involved being taken in with a guide into the caracal enclosure where the picture was taken. Then we were taken into a cheetah enclosure where there were two tame cheetahs, pictures are already in my portfolio.Time
Early evening, just before the cheetah's feeding time, although we didn't know that going in.Lighting
Nice early evening light as it was just beginning to fade.Equipment
Canon EOS 5D Mk. II with Sigma 70-200 f2.8 zoom.Inspiration
Never had the chance to be so close up with a wild cat before, or since.Editing
Bit of work on contrast. In my camera bag
Camera as described above but also with Sigma 24-70 f2.8, a flash, gorilla pod and more recently a Sigma 15mm fisheye.Feedback
Frame as tightly as possible and keep firing he didn't hold the snarl for very long.
