Location
This photo was taken near my hometown in Radenci, Slovenia. We have a lot of fields here so for a photographer that likes to take photoshoots with people in nature it's a perfect place to live.Time
This is shot right around noon. The preparations for the shoot took about half an hour so by the time my model and I got together and arrived at the place is was somewhere around eleven o' clock and then we started to shoot.Lighting
The lighting in this photo is 100% natural. I didn't use any light source or any other accessories. It is how it is.Equipment
I used my Canon 6D and a Canon EF 24-70/2.8. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I decided to take this photo in the morning because I woke up and looked through my bedroom window and saw a scene similar to this. The wind was blowing through the wheat fields and it was creating different shapes in it. It was so magical that I called my friend and said: "We have to go and shoot this. Right now."Editing
As you can see in the photo, I used the post-processing in the fields. I changed the colour from green to red, that was my idea of creating a some sort of a magic-land which has been in my mind for quite a time. I decided this shooting, the scenery, the model, the moment and the movement was perfect for this idea.In my camera bag
Normally I carry around my Canon 6D and three lenses - Canon EF 24-70/2.8, Canon EF 50/1.8 and Sigma 70-300/4-5.6. I also have my Canon Speedlite 430EX II flash with me everywhere I go.Feedback
My advice is to use whatever the nature is giving you - in my example the wind, lighting and scenery. You can create wonderful and memorable shots without tons of equipment and people. If you're patient and know what your idea is and how you're going to achieve it you don't need much more. We had to be very patient in this shoot because the wind was blowing every 2 or 3 minutes and then everything was still again. But have fun, experiment, and nothing bad can come from it.
