Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, particularly at Corniche where I usually take a photowalk during my off.

Time

Oh! I love to get up early and catch the magnificent sunrise from the horizon. My body is somewhat like programmed to do it since I started photography. Sunrises/sunsets somehow give me fulfillment, the color is just so amazing.

Lighting

It was only ambient light.

Equipment

In this photo, I used Canon 6D with 17-40mm F4L. Handheld. Flash not fired.

Inspiration

When I am not yet into photography, I never appreciate sunrises/sunsets, I simply ignore the whole thing. But when I found myself loving photography, I started to appreciate things, I started to see the true color of every light source, i started to love the clouds and its formation, and I started to see and appreciate the moment. And it gives me some sort of fulfillment whenever the I snap photos of a sun rising from the horizon.

Editing

Yes. A little contrast adjustment only. I bumped it up. Not to mention, I was not into photoshop during this time or I was struggling to learn post processing.

In my camera bag

Now, I have Canon 6D, Canon EF 70-200mm F4L, Canon EF 17-40mm F4L, Canon 100mm F2.8L IS, Canon 50mm F1.4, 3 X Canon 430EX II, 4 X YN-622C triggers/transceivers, YN-14EX ETTL Ring Flash.

Feedback

I am not going into details about camera settings or equipments. What I always believe is that he/she should never get tired getting up early and do the things he love and never stop doing it because everyday is a unique day. He should not stop exploring the world and capturing moments that can never be reproduced.
