Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in a stable where I keep my horses believe it or not!

Time

Taken in the morning, the horse had just been brought in from the rain, that's why his mane is all wavy

Lighting

I used studio lights with 1 soft box and a spill kill, nothing special!

Equipment

I used a Canon 650D, 18-55mm lens , studio lights, a black background from an old sheet

Inspiration

I have seen many pictures from the equine photographer Tim Flach from his series equestrian, it's amazing!

Editing

I used photoshop to bring out a better contrast between the horse and the background.

In my camera bag

I usually take my canon 650D, 18-55mm lens, 50mm prime lens and a 70-200mm lens, a combination perfect for any photo opportunity

Feedback

My advice would be to play around with the lighting, it varies between each subject. time and patience is a must as there were a lot of shots before this one!
