Piazza San Marcos, I stood and watched the Christmas Regatta through the lens of my camera. Here, Mrs. Claus and her Santas descend on the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute (Basilica of St. Mary of Health), on the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. The day was cloudy and cold as is usual at Christmastime in Venice. The annual event is organized by University of Ca Foscari.
