Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on our latest trip home. The beautiful Island of Mauritius.

Time

The photo was taken at sunset, around 6pm.

Lighting

We had gone to pick up the kids father, after he had spent an afternoon out at sea fishing. The kids were messing on the beach, and I noticed the way the lighting seemed to glow around them.

Equipment

Having no camera with me, my only option was my Samsung Galaxy S4.

Inspiration

I am always trying to find interesting angles to take pictures, and was trying to capture a maximum number of memories.

Editing

No

In my camera bag

I usually use either my Samsung Galaxy S4, or a Nikon D3100 with either 18-55mm VR lens or 55-200mm VR lens and also some extension tubes.

Feedback

Getting the shadow and timing right can be tricky, so take lots of pictures.
