Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on a family vacation back in 2012. We visited many places on that trip but this one happens to be from when we visited Alcatraz Island in San Fransisco.

Time

It was probably around 3:30.

Lighting

Quite honestly I was new to using photoshop and I just wanted to try some different things.

Equipment

I have a Nikon D3200 and this was shot with no flash and no tripod. I used a standard Nikkor 18-55mm lens.

Inspiration

I've always loved flowers. They are one thing that's always there. They make us happy, they are simple way to say "I was thinking about you" and they are even there to comfort us when we are mourning.

Editing

Quite honestly I didn't really do much to this photo. Other than suck out all but the one color I wanted and your typical color adjustments.

In my camera bag

I am still a amateur so I have a Nikon d3200 and 2 Nikkor lens. 1: 18-55mm and 55-200mm

Feedback

I really enjoy just changing up angles and trying something. I always try to step out of my comfort zone and try something new when it comes to photography. The same is true with this photo. The reason this photo stands out is because of the editing. It wouldn't stand out if I had left it in its natural form.
