Location
This photo is a composite so there are several locations combined to make this image. The girl dancing was taken in the woods in SC, the birds and water was taken along the coast of CA and the flamingos were taken at a zoo in Utah.Time
All of the combined images were taken mid-late afternoon on a slight overcast day.Lighting
Lighting is always a bit tricky when combining different photos taken at different locations at different times of day. I focus on the lighting of the main subject and the direction it's coming from to dictate how the surrounding images will be lit.Equipment
Nikon D40 and Nikon 7000, 70-200mm lensInspiration
After traveling across the country this past summer and spending alot of time outdoors I wanted to combine my love for photographing people with the beauty I encountered on my trip.Editing
I strictly use Photoshop Elements at the moment which I know has it's limitations but I'm happy to be able to still pull off an image like this one. One of my favorites! In my camera bag
Nikon D7000, 50mm 1.4 and 70-200mm 2.8 lenses. Battery charger, extra memory cards and cloth lens cleaner.Feedback
I would recommend watching lots of videos on how to combine images and then lots and lots of practice. Keep in mind where your light source is coming from so all the pieces are consistent as well as the color tones.
