Behind The Lens

Location

John Chestnut Senior park in Tarpon Springs, FL

Time

This was shot mid day.

Lighting

The shadows from the trees kept out the mid day's harsh lights for me.

Equipment

For this shot,I used a Canon 6D and Canon 70-300mm.

Inspiration

I had been chasing make cardinals around for awhile, trying to capture that perfect shot. When I saw this guy sit down right in front of me, I just started snapping away!

Editing

I applied Mastin presets, which give it a little more of a film look.

In my camera bag

I normally carry 70-300mm, 24-105mm, and an 85mm with me at all times. Sometimes I throw in my 50mm.

Feedback

Patience!! It's all about patience and timing with wildlife. It's worth the wait when you finally capture your dream shot!
