Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on a family vacation at a resort island called Castaway Cay owned by Disney.

Time

I took this photo around noon where natural lighting is the best

Lighting

I took this in broad daylight so lighting was pretty good.

Equipment

I used my iPhone 6 camera.

Inspiration

So I would always have a photo of one of the most beautiful places on this earth and a memory of a great family vacation.

Editing

I went into the iPhoto app and changed the filter to Noir. I didn't have to change exposure or lighting.

In my camera bag

Usually I always have my phone with me, but I do carry around a Nikon d5300 with a Nikkor 18-105 mm lens and a Canon Powershot S95.

Feedback

Try playing with filters and taking photos at all different angles. Also try taking this type of photo with natural light around 12-2 pm. Usually the photo won't need much more light adjustment.
