Behind The Lens

Location

The photo have been taken at place called Ravivari Bazar ( Sunday Road Market) in Rajkot City, where village people near to rajkot city comes for shopping it opens on sunday only from morning 9.30 am to about 2.30 pm. It is the best place for doing the street. There were some bench are there for resting. This person was sitting and relaxing on that bench and doing smoke there. Hence this was my first street photo walk and i loved this image so much.

Time

Till morning 10 am we have started photowalk on the Sunday market and we were keep searching the good moment to be captured. it was taken around 12.45pm.

Lighting

Yes sure, this person was sitting exactly against sun, so it was purely favorable for me to take good shot with day light. Initially i have taken some shot from side but it was not that looks good so then i have changed my position and taken some moments to get subject to be relax and in his own motion. After that i have taken some clicks and it was among of them.

Equipment

I have used Canon 1200d, and 18-55 Kit lens that's all. No any other equipment used for this image.

Inspiration

As by finding subjects we found some street child, some good portraits but i was searching for the something different where i found this person was doing smoke on bench and relaxing. So got a chance to get a click this moment. i got inspired to click this photo because of person's eyes, his sitting posture, the way he was smoking, his smoking pipe and smoke.

Editing

Yes, Basically this image was taken in monochrome but after that it was processed in the light room corrected the brightness and shadows after that it was process in the nik collection's silver efex pro for little enhancement.

In my camera bag

Normally I carry a bag with Canon 1200d Body, 18-55mm, 55-250mm kit lens and 50mm prime 1.8 lens. Also when going for macro i do carry AF macro extension tube and Tripod.

Feedback

Herewith i would share my experience is that when doing street or portrait on the street try to get closer to the subject if possible, because you required the maximum details in the photo, always look for the position where you are standing because it required to be in favorable of light if possible try to take pictures from 3 to 4 different angles so it will helpful, if one doesn't show proper lights other will might be having. Based on the environment and day light always adjust iso as low as possible to avoid the grains.
