Location
This photo i have taken at zoo located in Rajkot city in INDIA. This zoo is named Pradyuman park. Where a pair of Leopard is residing there and zoo have tried to provide their best optimum habitat to get this pair into breeding.Time
Me and my friend Ronak, have been waked up early morning 5.30am and taken outside for wildlife photography. We have gone first to Randarda lake did some photography of birds then we visited to Pradyuman park zoo, this photo is taken at morning 9.53 am on 10th January, 2015.Lighting
As its a morning time and cage is opposite to the sun light so its a very good daylight to take snap but there is a cage wires out side so its been little difficult to take clear snap. but though in aperture priority mode the light have been taken very well in the photo.Equipment
I am using canon 600d & canon 1200d. this photo is taken from canon 600d with 75-300mm telephoto lens. this shot is taken by hand only no tripod used.Inspiration
To be a wildlife photographer, sometimes you have to think like animal to take the perfect shot. Here in the cage we found a pair of Leopard playing together then i was observing their behavior. It was a heavy winter that time and after playing i found the Leopard trying to climb a tree part. but i specifically like the eyes and attitude of it. Its really marvelous and every time i seen this photo its like inspired to me about the attitude and his presence in my mind.Editing
Yes, actually in clicked shot it was a pure color shot but as looking to the eyes of Leopard i felt this photo will look great in less color and even it can create a great identity to this photo. I just change the light settings in computer which are, i reduced the shadows, highlights & saturation and increased the contrast which gives me the output of this image. Apart from light i also cropped the image to get the object clear view.In my camera bag
Normally i take camera body (either 600d or 1200d), additional lens of 75-300mm, 18-55mm, benro tripod, 2 extra memory card of 8gb. As being a beginner i didn't bought a battery pack but in future looking forward to buy it.Feedback
As i just like to put a note for friends who is trying to take photos of big cats or like animals, always try to capture their attitude and eyes rather than full body or other surroundings. Hence everything has their own important but i personally feel that eyes and attitude is a best part of their photography.
