Location
The photo was taken in the Phoenix Park, Dublin on one of the very few occasions Ireland sees thick snow. (3 times per decade tops)Time
I woke up in the morning and saw the lovely snow covering everything. I grabbed my camera right away and walked out to the park.Lighting
Snowy scenes look best either in the early morning or at sunset. This one has the crisp morning light.Equipment
This was taken with my old Olympus superzoom. It always had lovely colors straight off the camera. This picture is unedited as a result.Inspiration
I always liked that part of the park, the meticulously cut lawn and the little house. I go there many times so it was an obvious choice really.Editing
No post processing. In my camera bag
These days I use a Sony a6000, with the stock 16-55 and 55-210.I use an adapted Helios 44M quite often too. Plus I also shoot with a Rolleicord film camera too.Feedback
If the forecast is right, get up early, make some tea in a thermos and off you go, anywhere into nature. Don't forget to pack snowchains and blankets in the car just in case.
