Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Patapsco Regional Park in Maryland on a Sunday afternoon. I was testing out the Olympus Stylus u730 camera I just got.

Time

This was in the afternoon around 3 or 3:30 pm

Lighting

There was a lot of natural sunlight with a bit of cloud cover at the time

Equipment

This was taken handheld with an Olympus Stylus u730 Camera using Aperture f/6.6 ISO 80 shutter 10/2000 and no flash

Inspiration

I saw the old train tracks that were part of the B&O railroad system and decided to get low and take a different angle than most people would think to shoot.

Editing

No post processing done. It looked great to me.

In my camera bag

Back then I was shooting with Olympus u730 and Nikon Coolpix P 80 Cameras. Now I shoot with a Nikon D3300. I usually have extra lens caps and storage media. Tripod depending on the shoot.

Feedback

My advice is to think differently about the angle and point of view that you want to capture. With digital you can shoot more than one photo and decide what you want to keep later.
