Location
The photo of the blue-nosed Lantern Bug was taken whilst trekking in BorneoTime
Photograph was taken late in the afternoonLighting
At the time the lighting was quite dim, so chose to use flash on camera.Equipment
At the time I was using a Canon EOS 50D with an 18-200mm lensInspiration
Earlier on in the afternoon I had been walking around photographing butterflies. Just happened to pass by a tree and noticed this strange little critter there!Editing
No - photograph is as taken. In my camera bag
Whilst traveling I try and keep things to a minimum, opting for a zoom lens for versatility.Feedback
While zoom lens are good, they can be limiting for close up work. I'd suggest you invest in a macro lens if you're keen on little critters - I'm saving up for one right now.
