Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my home town of london ontario. We have so many fantastic trails and I never tire of trying to do the scenery justice with amateur photography.

Time

This was a late afternoon shot. While this one doesn’t show the beautiful late afternoon/evening light, it is my fav time to shoot.

Lighting

The early evening light is very forgiving I find. The soft glow is a natural filter.

Equipment

iPhone 8 was used for this. Nothing special - it was in my pocket during my hike when I came across this trail!

Inspiration

It is so beautiful. I wanted to capture it.

Editing

No filter !

In my camera bag

I usually have my iPhone. If I am going out specifically for taking photos I will take my digital camera with me.

Feedback

I found the most important thing is to frame the picture well. Have a focal point and don’t cut anything off. Pretty basic. I also have a knack for identifying things that will show interesting in a photo. Not everything does!
