Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on the beach of a little village called Kissonerga in Paphos, Cyprus where we live.

Time

It was taken early morning when we did his walks, around 9am.

Lighting

Living in the Mediterranean light is very strong and powerful so attention to the correct exposure was needed.

Equipment

This was hand-held - shot with a Canon EOS70D

Inspiration

At every opportunity I like to take photographs of my animals, especially at play, if not for anything else but lasting memories of happy times.

Editing

Very little post-processing was done with this shot, just a simple adjustment of the shadows and highlights.

In my camera bag

Normally in my everyday bag I carry my camera (now upgraded to a Sony A7rii), along with 35mm lens, 90mm lens, 17-40mm lens, if just out for the day - however on specific shoots I carry the full kit with flash, tripod, light stands, beauty box, and a range of lenses.

Feedback

Capturing this kind of shot just requires patience, and a high shutter speed!
