Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Palaiokarya village in Thessaly area, Greece

Time

It was taken at 16:30 in the afternoon

Lighting

The sun was up in the sky and flares were created all over the frame. I had to wait for almost two hours, just for the sun to come as low as possible over the mountain. Suddently, I saw that sun ray hitting the stone bridge creating the effect in the photo. a few minutes later, the sun was gone behind the mountain. Those two hours of doing literaly nothing, just waiting for the light to change, really paid me off

Equipment

Nikon D610, Nikon 16-35mm f/4, Manfrotto Tripod 190xprob. I also used a Lee Big Stopper filter

Inspiration

I am always impressed an stunned by the beauty and forces of nature. Those sun rays at the right moment created depth to my photo and a beautiful frame.

Editing

No post processing was done. just a bit of contrast and highlights

In my camera bag

Nikon D610 Nikon 16-35mm f/4 Nikon 24-120mm f/4 Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 Nissin Di866 Mark II Nikon 60mm f/2.8 Micro Nikon 85mm G f/1.8

Feedback

Nature needs patience, wait and observe, see the light changing constantly, and at the right moment take the shot
