Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at the Daniel Stowe botanical garden down in Charlotte,NC. I was taking a photography class and on one of our last assignments we went to the garden.

Time

I believe it was mid afternoon.

Lighting

I found this flower on the ground near, alone and saw a black pond. So with the contrast the flower looked whiter than it actually was, plus with the lift coming in from above it made the contrast even more pronounced.

Equipment

I didn't use a flash or try pod. Just natural light and the camera was a Nikon 3200.

Inspiration

It was a solid background with an opposite color. I like the simplicity of the black and white contrast and how beautiful a white flower could look against a black background.

Editing

Just a little to highlight the flower.

In my camera bag

Nikon 3200. A 50, 300 and a 200 mm lens.

Feedback

I believe what look beautiful to you and the love and attention you give your photos the more it shows.
