Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken in New York Public Library in Manhattan. Old, beautiful building on 5th Avenue.

Time

It was taken early afternoon. It was beautiful, sunny day. Perfect light for a photos.

Lighting

Well, it was difficult to get it right because it was dark inside and bright outside but after few tried it came out perfect.

Equipment

I used my Canon EOS 60D with 18-200mm lens. No flash, no tripod.

Inspiration

Once I saw something like that on the Internet when I was going thru the pictures looking for inspiration. Unfortunately I didn't know where it was taken. When I went to NYPL and saw that window I just remember that one photograph and there was no way I'm not going to take one myself.

Editing

I just did a bit of cropping.

In my camera bag

I usually have extra battery, few other lenses and sometimes tripod and/or flash.

Feedback

Because I still consider myself new do advanced photography and tend to forget some stuff I often make a mistake of increasing ISO when there is no much need of it, which is making picture grainy. Same happened this time. I wanted the easy way out. After decrising the ISO and ajusting appreture and shutter speed picture came realy good. Every time you take a photo the conditions are different so patience and few tries will take you where you want.
