Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a forest near the village of La Garriga at Barcelona state.

Time

This picture was taken at midmorning on autum season.

Lighting

The light of this photo is completly natural because this photo was taken on a training day with a lot of people running, defending and attacking each others arround me.

Equipment

For this picture I use my old Nikon D90 with the standard Nikkor 18.0-105.0 mm f/3.5-5.6. And the camera specifications was 48mm - ƒ/4.8 - 1/250s - ISO 1600.

Inspiration

The main inspiration was to shot something different, something dynamic, with a lot of movement, that maybe can transport you to another era, and have the idea of how a war in a medieval time was done.

Editing

I only modify sharpness, darkness and blues.

In my camera bag

I have two sets, the first one is for travelling. I use my Nikon D90, my AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED VR and my AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED VR. And the other set is for closer pictures, and I wear my Nikon D90, my AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED VR, my Nikon AF-S 50mm F1.8 G and my Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM. And now I changed my old Nikon Coolpix S8100 for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ70 because I can shoot in RAW mode.

Feedback

Obviously to have one good photo when you are shooting at this people requires a lot of patience and a lot of shots because you can modify your camera settings, but people can move faster or slowest, can hit with more or less power, people can be fresh or can be tired. There are a lot of things that can modify from one shot to another. For these reason you have to shoot and shoot.
