I really like this photo, can't tell you how many times I have driven over this bridge, and I always find it so breath taking; especially after Yerba Buena - and you captured that so well! Congrats on the feature!

Wonderful image. Congrats on the feature. Something to consider for "The magic of night lighting" group at URL: http://www.viewbug.com/photo-communities/the-magic-of-night-lighting

Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo from Treasure island in the San Francisco bay. I was experimenting with night photography and saw this opportunity for a view of the new Bay bridge being built.Time
night time.Lighting
It was a beautiful night and if I remember correctly was also 4th of July. The night was clear and great for taking night shots.Equipment
I used a Nikon D60 that has since been retired and replaced by a D3300. I don't have much money to spend on high end equipment, but I need something that at least takes quality shots. I used a budget tripod and the 18-55 mm kit lens that came with the camera.Inspiration
I had been taking a few night time shots of moving cars and was inspired by the abstract lines they produced.Editing
Not really. I don't have photo shop or anything. I just use a few adjustments like saturation, and maybe sharpness on the I photo software that came with my Apple computer. In my camera bag
Before this I had a Pentax Optio that I took to Europe with me. Now I have a small black shoulder bag by Kata, that has an extra 55-200 mm lens and a 35mm 1.8 prime lens. Actually the original 18-55 dropped once and no longer functions. I am looking for a new wide angle lens that I can afford.Feedback
I found it very easy and intuitive. You just need a way to keep the camera still. Sometimes you can even find a ledge to rest it on.
