Location
This photo was taken at Vlissingen harbor. It is about 75 kilometer from my hometown. I went there by train to do some long exposure workTime
At the end of my visit I took this shot. Most og my work is done between sunrise and two hours after that. This is a bit of an exception because I travelled by train and had to stay a bit longer. So it was around 11 o clockLighting
Because the shot was taken at the harbour there were a lot of boats passing by and people walking along the pier. A great place to do some long exposure to filter all the movement out and created a bit of a mysterious shot. The shuterspeed was 52 sec by F18Equipment
I used a canon 50d, a efs 10-22 canon lens and a ND110 filter to created the long exposure. Besides that of course a vanguard tripod and my Hahnël wireless remoteInspiration
There was a very mysterious light falling on the water and the small passage for boats to start or end there trip caught my eyes. Besides that I am always intrigued by water and things sticking out in water.Editing
Besides my camera post processing is a second way of playing with my surroundings. I shoot in RAW, do the normal stuff like sensor spot removal and lightning correction in lightroom. The rest of the BW processing took place in silfer efex pro. Just love that application. In my camera bag
Nowadays I carry a canon 6d, ef 24-70 F4, EF 20-40 F4, the plastic fantastic 50 mm F1.8 a 70-300 Ef 3.5/5.6. Filters: Hightech IRND -6 and -10 stops tripod and remote and since I own the 6d sometimes my Ipad for remote viewing and shootingFeedback
Get out of bed early to catch the greatest light ( or stay in and take your shots at the end of the day) And enjoy being outside
