Late afternoon.Lighting
It was mid October, at the height of fall. We were on a road trip to see fall colors in New England and Eastern Canada. We were strolling in the grounds of the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupréa when I noticed a hidden path. The colors of the leaves in the evening light was just mesmerizing. I spent al least a hour strolling around and taking pictures.Equipment
Pentax K-5ii with Tamron 18-250mm zoom lens. Hand held, natural light.Inspiration
The path had a sense of mystery and the place was awash with color enhanced by the evening sunlight.Editing
Color, tone, clarity and exposure adjusted in lightroom. In my camera bag
Pentax K-3, K-5ii, Tamron 18-250mm zoom, Tamron 10-24mm zoom, Circular polarizer, variable ND filter, small pentax travel flash. Manfrotto travel tripod with ball head.Feedback
Be constantly aware of your surroundings and the light around you. Have your camera ready at all times and know your equipment well because you may have to change settings very quickly. Often good photo opportunities are transient and the light can change in minutes.
