We had rented a farmhouse near the Snowdon Horseshoe in Wales, UK. On our first morning there, I got up early and went out to the side of the mountain beside the farmhouse and looked first towards Snowdon in the West. The sun was not yet on the peak, so I turned east and saw that the lake was covered in mist and bathed in a golden yellow light. The river that feeds the lake was like a silver snake. The sheep were oblivious to the beauty around them.
