October Dawn, Lake District, Cumbria, UK

I was staying in an inn at the heart of the UK's "lake District". Shortly before dawn, I lifted the curtain and saw that the sky was clear. I got dressed quickly and stole out into the semi darkness. I walked for 10 minutes to find a viewpoint that captured both the valley mists and the tinge of sunlight on the peaks and let the camera do the talking.
