Behind The Lens

Location

At the beach on Sanibel Island, FL near the bridge over to Captiva Island

Time

Sunset

Lighting

I planned this to be a dancer's silhouette photo, but including the amazing sunset over the ocean

Equipment

Canon 5D Mark III with Canon 24-70mm L Lens. I forgot my tripod so I laid on the sand propping my elbows in such a way to reduce camera shake.

Inspiration

My daughter's beautiful dance abilities and our love of Sanibel Island.

Editing

Yes, I used Lightroom to enhance contrast, enhance the silhouette, and saturate the sky with beautiful sun colors

In my camera bag

Canon 5D Mark III and several Canon L lenses (16-35, 24-70, 70-200).

Feedback

Bring a tripod, a beautiful dancer, and use manual mode to ensure you get your silhouette.
