Location
This photo was taken at Stourhead, Wiltshire in the UK, an estate managed by the National Trust. This Palladian Bridge and Pantheon are much photographed!Time
The photo was taken in the afternoon, and while it was taken into the sun, the sun was low in the sky, shielded by trees.Lighting
As it was taken in October, on an overcast day, I increased the ISO to 800Equipment
This image is proof that you don't need expensive equipment to capture great images. It was taken on a Sony A230, which I bought used for a couple of hundred pounds. It was handheld, which I prefer at 1/125th f/9.0. Taken using the 18-55mm kit zoom.Inspiration
I love photographing iconic architecture, as well as a penchant for reflections, so this image ticks both boxes!Editing
I tend to run images through Photoshop or Lightroom, and like to push contrast and hue.In my camera bag
This image was taken over 8 years ago, since then I have upgraded to a Sony A58. I travel with an 18-55mm zoom lens on the camera, and a 70-300mm zoom in the case. I have just purchased a minolta 50mm f/1.7 prime lens, so look out for some new views!Feedback
To capture images like this, it's worth checking the weather forecast, as reflections need a calm day.
