Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken near the Great Smokie Mountains. I believe it was near the Elkmont area. There are countless streams which makes it hard to remember.

Time

By looking at the sky, it looks like it was mid-day.

Lighting

I just wanted to see what I could capture at the moment. I think we were just hiking and shooting.

Equipment

Canon Rebel XT. F5.0 ISO 100 shutter speed 32/10. I cheated and looked at the data loaded with the pic. I actually took the image hand held. Don t like dragging tripods etc when hiking.

Inspiration

I love shooting streams and nature.

Editing

I did color correction, etc in photoshop. I then used preset from Smart Photo Editor to get the look I wanted.

In my camera bag

Depending on what I am shooting I either have my camera body and a 23-105 lens. If doing more extensive shooting I have 2 bodies, assorted lenses, 2-4 speedlights, etc. I basically pack for type of shooting I am planning to do.

Feedback

Practice, practice, practice. I never get tired of trying to catch a better image each time I shoot.
