Location
The photo was taken at Langkawi Island in Malaysia. This beautiful sunset with sun ray through thick clouds was captured in the area named Kuah near the fishermen village there.Time
This photo was taken at 6.57pm while a number of hawkers (most are locals) were setting up their tent for night market nearby.Lighting
I am nature addict. Landscape like sun ray or sunset/sunrise with so many colors will make me insane with shutter, as these moment won't appear everyday in your life. If I see something like this, within a minute I can shoot 10 same images with different exposure..hehe :-) My advise about lighting..Don't wait, just shoot!Equipment
This was shot on my first lovely dslr Canon EOS100D with canon lens EF 50mm f/1.8 IIInspiration
I am so crazy over 'wonders of sunset'. Great sunset colors makes me excited to take this picture. I'll make sure that I capture all the sunset moment wherever I go and looking back at them. This photo was taken from one beautiful island in northern Malaysia on year-end vacation. I was there at the beach having my coffee after choosing the best spot and waiting to capture the moments as usual. I'll feel so glad to witness the moments in my photography collections.Editing
This photo is a straight out of camera (SOOC) image. I am not interested in post-processing back then because I believe everything can be done in camera setting to get perfect image (that is why dslr is expensive, right?). Only now, I start learning and understand why post-processing is also important to a photography especially when it comes to graphic process for example banner or bunting. In my camera bag
Wherever I go, I normally carry a big bag consist of EOS100D and 600D together with my kit lens EFS18-55mm STM and EF10-22mm which I feel suit for my landscape. There was one time I've been asked to shoot a cricket game, so i never left my sigma 70-300mm from my bag as this telephoto lens is also useful for wildlife like birds and insects which we can't go too near to capture them. For another 3 prime lens which also in the very same bag, they are 24mm, 50mm and 100mm macro will do their job too just like the others when it comes to a situation they are needed. I am very happy with their cooperation in producing a sweet and lovely images. And, not to forget.. a tripod too ;-)Feedback
My advice to all landscaping photographer is to have patience and be equipped at anytime because the 'wonders' of moments wont last long. Do some homework such as googling the best spot , whether forecast and any key point to consider which will help you to be ready with any consequences in all your photos.
