Cordillera Apolobamba is a mountain range on the Bolivian-Peruvian border, remote by even Bolivian standards. Our climb was through the Bolivian side, and this was our final day, on the way down to the surreal Curva village and valley. The rain clouds from the Amazon were just beginning to encompass the range giving us the last glimpses of the range. You can see the sacred mountain of Akamani rises in the back through the clouds.

thanks for the words to accompany this amazing image, there's so much information, and wonderful enriching contrast. i love the agricultural grids against the distant peak in the clouds and the baron slopes. really amazing and remote. the rolling clouds just add spectacular backdrop. thanks for sharing this unique off the grid image !
