You have to love shots lie this. It's like a recording of history. That's why photographs are so important and valuable. This is really a nice shot.

Location
It is made in Chateau Miranda, also known as Noisy Castle. A 19th-century castle in Celles, province of Namur, Belgium, in the region of the Ardennes built in 1866. After hearing that the building is planned for demolishing in 2015 me and my friends thought it might be our last chance to get some cool shots.Time
The shot is made around 14:00 hrs in February 2015.Lighting
There was quite a big contrast between the light in on the walls and the light coming in through the window. I had to underexpose the room in order to get the windows right. There's no image blending here. I opened up the shadows in Lightroom CC. It's a good thing my camera has such a great dynamic range.Equipment
I used a Nikon D800 with a Nikon 14-24 2.8, a manfrotto tripod and head and a cable release.Inspiration
I walked into this room on our way out of the building. Glad that i opened the door and found it. The chair and the blackboard gave it a bit of a creepy touch, so I couldn't resist to take the shot.Editing
Like said before. I opened up the shadows in Lightroom CC. After that I did some tone mapping with a Nik Software filter and gave it a very light HDR effect. After that I cleaned up some noise and that's it.In my camera bag
A Nikon D800, a Nikon D700(backup), Nikon 14-24 2.8, Nikon 24-70 2.8, Nikon 70-200 2.8, Lee circular polarizer, Lee grad hard filter set, Lee bigstopper and a Lee 0.6 and 0.9 pro glass filter, SB600 flash gun. Enough memory cards and batteries.Feedback
Observe the light and look for a cool angle. And most important: know the dynamic range of your camera. Work with the histogram. Make multiple shots under and overexposed so you always have the option to blend photos if you can't do it in one shot. Hope this helps. Good luck!!
