Columbia, SC....I took pictures of this garden spider all summer and into the fall two years ago. She built huge webs right in front of my front porch. I grew very fond of her and was sad when she finally disappeared.
I didn't post-edit this much, just a bit of brightening. That's the real morning sun in the upper left corner. I was trying to catch the very edge of the big web so it would look flat like a plate from the side.
