Every evening in the summer, the zoo personnel would take the chicks out of the flamingo enclosure and take them inside the nursery building for the night to keep them safe from predators. The babies knew the way and went for a "baby flamingo walk" through the zoo just before closing time. This baby had just been taken out and was resting quietly on the sidewalk while the other chicks were rounded up.
