Location
I took this photograph at one of my favorite stops along the Seward highway along the Turnagain Arm and a little place called Beluga Point In Alaska .Time
I taken this photo around 4:30 in the afternoon in mid-september 2014 is a beautiful sunny cold brisk day out but the Sun was shining and it was a great day to get out to take photos.Lighting
be about 30 minutes before the Sun starts to I always wait until the perfect time of day may be about 30 minutes before the Sun starts to set that's what I've noticed that the sun's rays are perfect for natural lighting.Equipment
I used my Samsung s4 with a 10x zoom attachment case for such a small phone it takes incredible photos.Inspiration
my inspiration for this photo at first was naturally to take photos of the mountains and the Sun in its natural setting. but then when I started taking some of the previous shots this rainbow appeared out of nowhere and came down from the mountains and just started touching the ocean it was one of those picture perfect moments.Editing
I didn't really mess with this photo too much really all I did was take out some of the saturation because the sun's rays were a little too bright and then I added a little contrast to make sure the rainbow popped out really nicely in the photograph. In my camera bag
I normally shoot with just my Samsung s5 every once in awhile I'll bring out the Canon Rebel but other than that I usually use my phone for most of my photography I like the fact that it's very slim and easily accessible or when I want to take that point and shoot photo it's ready to go for me.Feedback
if you're wanting to take photos like this it's all about the timing of the day and how the natural lighting sets in the photos I try to wait until the sun does the work for me so I can get the best shot and like most of us know you also need a little bit of luck.
