Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken from our bedroom window. The bedroom was a story and a half from the ground. At the time we owned a fixer upper on just under 5 acres. There are a lot of my photos that were taken through a window. I have a chronic illness that keeps me in the house a lot, so I am always looking for unique shots from inside the house.

Time

I don't remember what time of day it was. My best guess would be morning or afternoon.

Lighting

I really don't worry about lighting. I actually am always trying to find a unique shot that is created by the lighting at the time.

Equipment

I used an X400 SLR camera for this shot. I probably had it set to the setting that allows for taking through a window.

Inspiration

I am always looking for an unusual shot. This just caught my eye that day.

Editing

All of my photos are untouched. I am a naturalist and believe in keeping things as they were taken.

In my camera bag

I have a simple SLR camera. I actually have been using my Iphone 5s more. It actually seems to take better pictures.

Feedback

My advice would be to always be aware of your surroundings. You never know when that one special shot will jump out at you.
