Location
In anticipation of the eclipse I went out driving to follow the sun and try to find a good place to get a shot. As I was driving I saw this hill full of cactus and it seemed that the sun would drop down behind it so I pulled over to the side of the road hoping for a good sunset and vantage for a shot. The picture was taken in Arizona toward the northern city limits of Phoenix.Time
The shot was taken at 6:43 PM but the chase for location took about an hour and then I sat on the side of the road for !/2 hour or so waiting to shoot. I did take a number of shots before getting one that pleased me.Lighting
Nature provided the lighting as only nature canEquipment

I love sunsets and looked at this one as being a unique opportunityEditing

Get out and about and be patient enough to look for and wait for the shot you want. Try to look ahead and anticipate what's coming .
