I took this photo to rival another photo of another photographer. He took a photo of a dog behind a cage, trying to show how we as man have backed away from nature. I took this photo to show how close I, as an individual human being, am close to nature

Location
I took this photo while visiting a friends ranch. This ranch, called Eagleford, is located in Utah.Time
I honestly can not remember when I took this photo, but according to a friend of mine, Scott Dunn, I took it around 1:00.Lighting
The only thing I know about the lighting that is worth while is that the sun was out- that is all.Equipment
Honestly, I do not own any other implements besides my Canon EOS 60D and a 18-135 mm lens.Inspiration
Actually, I was inspired by another photographers work, who took a photo of his own dog's eye behind a chain link fence. He took this photo to represent the separation of nature from man. I decided to prove this photographer wrong and take basically the same exact photo but with a horse and no chain link fence. Honestly, I think my photo represents how close we are to nature, but also how far.Editing
Nope.In my camera bag
That depends. Right now I have a 100-400mm lens and a 18-135mm lens, along with my Canon EOS 60D. I have been saving up for more supplies, but keep in mind I'm only 14 so I can't really do much about that right now.Feedback
Really, don't do what I did. I used my telephoto 18-135mm and so I could not get the amount of detail I really wanted. Honestly, if you wanted to take a photo like this one, use a macro lens. Also, find a horse that will cooperate. At Eagleford, there are 2 horses, Shadow and Winnie. Shadow decided that he was to cool to be in my camera roll and would not stand still long enough for me to take this shot. Winnie, however, was very still and very cooperative.
